Spam in my guestbook

I have a guestbook that displays messages entered right away. I don't want
to do away with it, but every day I am weeding through my entries, pulling
out about 10-15 Spam messages. I have to do this daily as they can be quite
offensive and I don't want my customers to see them.

Is there any way to stop this without pulling the page?

That is correct. What can slow it down is to rename the
guestbook URL occasionally. Best thing would be a custom
script
