SPAM HELP: Please any officials here ?!?

Hey there !

I got a big problem with spam here! I didn't read the
disclaimer properly, stupid me!

Is there any officials here who can delete my post??

Under "Sharepoint Team Services"/"Team Services",
It is named "Error creating a Portal" and send by "Tim
Adler". Or at least change my mail adress??

PLEASE, THIS IS URGENT! My Mailbox gets spammed all over!

I'm thankful for every help!

Hi Tim,

Your original post can be deleted (by you actually if you used a
newsreader), but it will be pointless. Your address is already in the
harvester's book, and removal will not help you at this point. All you can
do is either change your address or setup filters to delete the spam (how
you do this depends on your email program). Whatever you do, don't be
tempted to click on any "unsubscribe" links in the garbage, as they just use
these to confirm the address is valid (and sell to other marketers).

I'm not an 'official', but even if I were and I could delete all your posts
the damage is already is done, they have your address. The only way out I
think is to change your e-mail address. Once these people have you, they
don't let go. (I speak from experience!)

want to avoid the spam, it's probably most realistic to set up a new email
account for yourself.

I can't do that, cause it is my company-address!

So please remove my post!! Doesn't matter if it is already
in some books, I'll set up filters anyway. Just to prevent
more scanners to get my address!

Tim,

Only you can delete it, really. Since you used the web interface,
rather than an newsgroup reader, it is impossible for you to do this.
Your post has propagated around to thousands of servers, and probably
exists on scores of thousands (millions?) of hard disks on end user's
client machines. There is no point deleting it now, and not only
unlikely that someone will do it; even if they do it it will have zero
affect on your problem.

Switch now to using Outlook Express as your newsgroup viewer (start
reading at http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx and see
specific instructions at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/directory/worldwide/en-gb/newsout.asp).
and obscure your email as described. You can also delete your posts
(but realize they will still exist as they propagate around the world
until the delete request catches up).

Setup spam filters on your company email account. Your company should
have this already. Something like SpamAssassin is appropriate for
company use. Most vendors provide products your company can buy.

Tim,

The entire thread has been removed from our servers.
The deletion will propagate to the other ISP news hosts (most reputable ones
will honour the removal)
However - the Google and other archive will still contain your address and
the automated harvest programs the Spammers use have also already got your
address so this is somewhat after the fact.
You need to inform you corporate e-mail administrators what has happened and
they should be already using technology (either in house or third party) to
filter all incoming e-mail for SPAM, if not they should be.
