What is the NG's favourite spam filtering software? I am using SAproxy
at present - are there better applications for me to try out?

Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?

Regarding the first K9 download option- the "minimalist zip file containing
the K9 executabe:" if I unzip that into a folder and launch the exe, does
it work as a stand-alone (no install) sort of program without making
registry changes, etc? I'm currently alternating between deleting spam from
the server via MailWasher, and reporting downloaded spam to SpamCop. I need
a new weapon/approach.

Thanks,
Ian.

To my knowledge, the "minimalist setup" is for those that already have the
file's required by the program (in other words, if you run NT or above, you
can most likely get away with the minimalist approach).

Where did you get SAproxy? I've tried, but the only sites I could find
just had a paid version.

I downloaded from http://www.webattack.com/ , but it would appear that
the application is not longer available. Sorry!

Nope, but, they have a forum there where you can request old programs ;o)

Actually, I just downloaded K9 and so far, it's great. Nicer interface
than POPFile, too.

Yes, I like K9 also. I've even been using the Server check function lately
and it works great.

I only use it for the server check part, hehe
