spam crashing outlook

Hi there,
have an outlook client 2003 that is having issue with spam. over 3 days get
about 1200 emails and 95% are spam. The email is connected via pop account.
the issue is this client downloads emails and when it hits a spam email (have
not found a particular one seems random), out look errors on the retrieving
mail and the next time it tries to download the email, it starts from the
beginning again and then stops at the same spam message and repeats the whole
process. the only way i can get around it is to login to the web mail
account and delete the next email that was not downloaded in outlook and
after it gets deleted, then the other emails continue to download. the issue
is this is happening about 3 times a week now and it is really annoying. I
installed anti spam software on the client and does not help.
there are 8 computers on the networking all hooking into the same mail
server off site and no one else is having the issue.
any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it? was going to call Ms
and pay for support to see if they can figure it out but thought i would try
here first.

Hi there,

I recommend a program called justinbox. Its a POP3 checker and you can
delete those pesky emails before running up OL2003. One of my clients runs
it in the tray all day - claims his life is now 'spam free'.

Would be worth checking the PST file for errors if it keeps hapening.
