Space Screensaver

I copied the "Space.scr" Screensaver file from my Windows ME Machine (in the
bedroom) to my XP Media Center Machine (in the livingroom) via my home
network because I want to use the "Space" screensaver on my XP machine. I
copied the "space.scr" file into the c:\windows\system32 folder (where my
search said the other screensavers reside), but the
Video>Properties>Screensaver list only shows all of the other "stock Windows"
scr's, but the downloaded "Space" screensaver doesn't appear on the dropdown
selection list (even though it's physically there).

My question is whether or not the "Space.scr" file is compatible with XP. If
it is compatible, how do I get it to show up on the list to use it? If it's
not compatible, does anyone know where I can get an XP-compatible version?

Thanks in advance.

I bet you copied a shortcut, not the actual file.

NO. I went into the system files on the bedroom computer (the ME machine),
and copied the "space.scr" file iteslf (size=35 KB) into the XP machine's
c:\windows\system32 folder. That's where all of the other standard XP
screensavers reside. I highlighted the actual ME source file in one window,
and copied it into destination directory on my XP machine in another window.
The file is was copied because I can see it on the XP machine's folder
contents.

I just want to be able to get it to appear on the drop-down list so I can
select it as the one I want to use on my XP machine.

Does anyone know if ME screensavers are compatible on an XP machine?
