SP4 Install Fails

SP4 stops installing with an error message that I must use
my emergency disk to restore W2k. After hours of trying,
I finally got Windows to boot back up, but now my Matrox
Millennium Dualhead display is screwed up -- will have to
uninstall and reinstall the driver. Could Executive
Software's Diskeeper have caused the problem? I don't
understand why SP4 is listed as a critical update. I was
not having problems with SP3. Now I have to reapply the
SP's. Will try SP4 one more time. What a mess!

I retried SP4, with same message, only this time I
archived. I would have archived the first time if I had
known how much memory it took (the warning of a lot of
disk space scared me off). The error message: "SP4iis.exe
has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You
will need to restart the program." Then, "An error in
updating your system has occurred." Choosing the OK
restores the archived settings. Do I try installing SP3?
