SP4 HAVE CREATED PROBLEMS

I updated my windows 2000 with the sp4 after downloading
and going thru the directions the systems ask for a
an "nt51nf.cat" file "I386 "from my original disk and of
course it does not find it. PLESE HELP!!!!!

The file is NT5INF.CA_
in the i386 folder on your original CD.
It expands to NT5INF.CAT

If you don't have a CD, you need to get one.
Whatever is asking for it ought to accept the NT5INF.CA_
file the same as the NT5INF.CAT file.
If you don;t have the CD, but you find an i386 folder on
your computer, then the file is probably in there. You
may be asked for the CD, but the file doesn't necessarily
have to be on a CD. You can redirect it anywhere the
Windows installation files are stored.

Your case is unusual. I've never heard of a request for
the original files being caused by an SP upgrade.
