I have recently installed Sp4 on 4 servers, 3 on one
network and 1 on another. As a result of the installation
I have collected numerous problems. On both networks I
lost access to the Domain Controller security Policy, and
Domin security policy from the mmc snap-in in
administartive tools. It also resulted in that all
clients could not logon interactivly (Netlogon problem. I
was able to recover the Domain Controller and Domain
security policies and the snap-ins on the single server
network, but not on the 3 server network. On 3 server
network I have, somehow, seemed to get the domain
security policy snap-in back but not the Domain
controller security policy. In additon when you try to
view the network through my network places with the
exception of two of the servers which can browse the
network all clients and the remaining server cannot
browse and get the response "you might not have
permission to use this network resource...... The list of
servers for this workgroup is not currently available.
I have run DcDiag and get a failed KnowsofRoleHolders
indication up.This happens on all 3 servers. I have also
run GPOtool.exe and get numerous errors of cannot access
policy, howver it can access the ones located in the
sysvol policy directory.

Can anybody shed a light on how to fix this.

To add to my last if I have a machine that is not part of
the domain, and is a workgroup as set by default. I can
browse the network but not access any servers or clients.
However, once I join it to the domain then I get the same
fault appear as all the other clients.
