SP4 and GPOs

I have recently installed SP4 on all my servers on two
different networks. The net result is that I am no longer
able to access the domain controller Security Policy and
the Domain Security Policy via the admin snap-in on both
networks. On one network (with single server)when I view
the group policy via Comupers and Users admin Snap-in a
multi chose box comes up that states that the GP
operations is not avalable and select from PDC emulator,
one used by AD snap ins or any available domain
controller. Only the Ad snap-in works and lasts only for
as long as the session. i.e close it and then you lose it.
On the other network (Three servers) the same does not
happen but allows access to policy, via Comuters and Users
snap-in. The other thing that has happen is that I can you
can on longer access the domain via My network places on
all the workstations and the none operations master
servers. I have tried all the options on file sharing
which with no result. can anybody shed any light o the
problem

You may be better suited to open a support incident. I cannot provide a
solution based on the information you've provided.

Thanks for the quick reply I will do as you say. But can
you tell me what prenvents you from accessing the Domain
Controller and Domain security Policy Snap-ins in
administrative tools. Maybe if I could see the Policies I
could find the problem.

1. NTFS permissions for the actual files on the DC.
2. DNS settings.
3. RPC service disabled.
4. Invalid SPN registrations.
5. Invalid directory structure for the policies directory.
