sp4 and the kernel

I can't offer you any help unfortunately, but wanted to let

yeah, it doesn't make sense, i've installed every other
service pack as it comes (1,2 and 3) and they worked fine.
i'm glad i'm not the only one though.

Had the same error, and had to remove the Inno Logo program. It is a program
that allows you to have a different start up screens then the default w2k
screen.

Once that was removed, then I was able to install sp4.

If you are running Inno Logo and you remove it to get sp4 installed DO NOT
re-install it, because, you will end up re-installing w2k...
