SP4 and slow Logon

I recently installed SP4 and all the critical updates
recommended by Microsoft. After these updates upon reboot
my system sits at the applying computer settings for an
unusually long time and then when the logon screen appears
and I press ctrl + alt + del to log on it sits at the
applying your personal settings screen for an unkown
amount of time. the reason I say unkown is because after
30 minutes or so I shut down my system and restart again.
if I do this enough eventually it will finally log on but
it is a HUGE waste of time. Can anyone help me with this
issue? Thanks in advance

ok I figured out the problem. It appears that SP4 Changed
your DNS entries for some reason. I changed those back to
their original settings and everything is working
perfectly again. I hope this helps someone else out there.
