SP3 full version

I am trying to install SP3 for my MS Office XP. The original method of
download did not work with the Office CD that I have so I downloaded the
full version from
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/updates/xp/Oxpsp3a.htm which is
about 60MB.

I was under the impression that with this full version I would not
require an office CD. However, when I tried to run the .exe it still
asked for the cd 'Microsof Office XP Professional with FrontPage'. Am I
doing something wrong? I had saved the downloaded file
"OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe" on my desktop and double-clicked
it.

You still need the full version CD, or the contents of the CD stored on a
hard drive (that you point to when asked).

Guess it may be a security measure. If you don't have the CD, you can't
update the Office Suite!
