SP3 and outlook 2003

SP3 failed to install 4 times, due to lack of space on C drive. I moved
photos and stuff to an external drive...Everything seemed fine. Service pack
3 installed and then I was unable to open Outlook at all. The error message
is "cannot start Outlook, unable to open folders." I searched for .pst and
found it, but it has nothing in it!! I also have reg cure and am not sure
how the back-ups work. The last time I could open Outlook was October 30. I
have tried to do a custom restore to that date, without luck. (It would only
let me go back to Nov 4.) Is it possible to re-install another copy to
recover the email and task folder info?

There is nothing in it. 0K for the one and another Outlook express that is a
2006 folder.
I have also found that the office outlook was moved to an external hard
drive...unintentionally. It appears on my add/remove list twice. I read
somewhere that shouldn't be done. It seems as well, that my C drive now has
4 G of space as opposed to 500KB. Would the diisk clean up by the sp3 have
done something?

it's hard to say why you now have 4 GB of space. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/filepath.htm for file locations. Enable
show hidden files and folders and search all drives for *.pst.
