Hi

I have installed 30++ new XP SP2 workstation with the default setting. When
the new user trying to log into the domain on the Windows 2003 server, the
user profile loads very slow (approx. 5 mins). No Security Policy has been
implemented yet and all the settings are default. The network backbone is
running on fiber. These workstations are seperated into 8 segment with 8
switches. May I know what goes wrong?

Usually slow logons to a domain are caused by incorrect DNS settings.
The server should look to itself for DNS with forwarding zones set and
all workstations should look to the server for DNS.
