SP2 upgrade

An icon in my bottom taskbar tells me that upgrades are ready to install.
This time its SP2. Do i have to be on the internet when actually doing the
install or can I shut my wireless connection to the net off, because I am
supposed to shut down my antivirusprogram when installing SP2 and i do not
want to be on the internet without virtus protection.

virus protection is only useful if YOU open a file, it is not an issue
here. what you want is firewall protection

You don't need to be in the net during the install. But it does not
matter having AV off if you are not downloading things/browsing/looking
at mail. What is more to the point is that you should not be on the net
without *some* firewall. If you use a third party one and want to
disable that during SP2 install, then enable the old XP firewall (Net
connections, r-click the connection, Properties and check the top box on
Advanced)
