Hi all

I got this STOP error: OxOOOOOOOA (OxOOOOOOOO, OxOOOOOO1B,OxOOOOOOO1,
Ox81e6c780) about 2 week ago. I got onto Microsoft and they sorted me a
hoffix but my notebook Toshiba still shuts down. It shuts down even in the
Bois even when i put my recovery disc in. The problem is i need to install
SP2 and it just keep shutting down. So i can't install sp2 (XP home) and then
install the Hoffix.

I tried safe mode and then ask Microsoft again and they said connect a
external monitor so i did and it still Blue screened what should i do. Any
help please.

If the laptop shuts down when you're in the BIOS, no Windows hotfix will
help. The BIOS setup runs independently of Windows. You have a
hardware, possibly an overheating problem. But since you mentioned a
suggestion for an external monitor, you might check if the graphics card
is loose.. I don't know if it's easily accessible though.. if not, you
need to take the machine to a local repair shop.
