SP2 slipstream

Hello,
Does it make any sense to take a XP disk (original, before sp1) and
slipstream sp2 on it???
IOW, bypass sp1 all together. I have the same disc with sp1 slipstreamed but
I can't add sp2 to it and I now have to do a clean install so I was
wondering if leaving sp1 out will lose all the sp1 updates or will I still
be able to get them from Windows update if needed?

Since SP2 replaces SP1 in its entirety, go ahead and slipstream
SP2 using your original non-SP1 Windows XP CD.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

Thanks for the info!
Dont really need any utilities other than a command prompt to slipstream
though...thanks anyway for the links.

The utils are nice to know about but the most important reason to go back to
the original WinXP CD without SP1 is the java virtual machine. It has not
been in since SP1a.

Jeff,

you can install the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) from
www.sun.com.
