SP2 Security Center does not recognize Norton's AV

The security center for SP2 shows that my anti virus
software is not up to date, but I know that it is. The
icon shows up in the system tray as an alert. The only
way to make it go away is to check that I will monitor my
anti virus myself, which is fine. But why doesn't the
security center recognize my anti virus software? I am
running NAV2004, which was just reinstalled today and
completely updated.

Your Norton security products contain tamper protection features that
prevent malicious code from determining their status. This tamper
protection also prevents the Windows Security Center from determining
the status of your Norton security products. Shortly after Microsoft
releases Service Pack 2, Symantec will make a correction available
through LiveUpdate. This correction will allow the Windows Security
Center to correctly identify the status of your Norton security products.

Or better yet:

The problem is with Symantec (Norton) Antivirus. Symantec acknowledges this
as a problem and has released and retracted a patch for the 2004 product
line once already. If you go to Symantec's web page and look here
(specifically):

http://snipurl.com/9aob

You will see that the 2005 product line already includes the necessary
patches/upgrade. The new release of the 2004 product line patch/upgrade is
expected sometime in late September/early October.
