SP2 Problems

OS Win XP Home SP1. Service Pack 2 installed from disk. Some services not
now working e.g System Restore, Print Spooler and Windows/Firewall. Ran
msconfig. All boxes ticked under "Services", but status is "stopped". How do
I get them "running" again? Laptop upgraded with SP2. All these services are
"running".

Installation was as clean as possible - all start-ups disabled, virus check,
spybot check, peripherals unplugged.

Grateful for advice.
