Hi Kurt,

What parts are you from? If your link/post is genuine, am glad to hear you
faired well. I live in the hurricane sector as well (always have) and
wouldn't change a thing.)

Jupiter, FL. North Palm Beach County

We faired better than most. Only 3 nights without electric. My biggest
problem now is no broadband! That's how lucky I am.

It's a real nightmare for over a million still without electric, water, and
phones. Gas lines are measured in how many miles long. A cup of coffee is
a luxury, and ice is the new gold. But compared to the Sudan, Floridians
are getting help, and more is on the way.
I live in the hurricane sector as well (always
have) and wouldn't change a thing.)

I always thought you're a bit nuts! :) I'm used to hurricanes that made it
up to New Jersey, where I grew up, and I can't imagine ever going through a
Category 4 or 5 hurricane, after going through this Cat 2 hurricane.

Blizzards are much more fun than hurricanes!

Hi Kurt,

Thanks for the reply! Didn't realize that were such close neighbors.)
Have been through that area, very nice. <LOL> on the coffee and ice, can
imagine.

As for three days, even though that is sad enough, one of our MVP's in
Florida went two whole weeks after
Charley without electricity, etc.

And yup, have never denied being a bit crazy/nuts nor being born and raised
as a Cajun (southern Louisiana). As a matter of fact today makes the 39th
year since Hurricane Betsy that ran through here before I was even old
enough to start school. Only remember it because my dad was a seaplane
pilot and left us alone with candles to save the others.)

Dunno about blizzards! How would I ...... have only seen snow (if one wants
to call it that) here, three times in my life. However, lucky for me, it
was coined automatic school holidays!!! Not for the danger, just for the
enjoyment.)

Hope all gets corrected soon, Kurt. In the meantime, will have some "iced
coffee" on your behalf. <w>

Thanks! Everything is pretty much back to normal, except for the debri pile
out front of the house. So I'm extremely lucky. Some people won't get
power back until the 19th, if nothing else happens.

Leaving for New Jersey on Sunday night if the Airport is still open. I
ain't sticking around for the crazy russian!
