SP2 & IE

SP2 was installed on my 2 home PC's recently via the auto-
update. Afterwards, I was unable to access the internet
via Internet Explorer. I was, however, able to access via
AOL browser and had no DNS problems or issues pinging
public IP addresses.

I uninstalled SP2 and IE seemed to be working ok, but now
I cannot access HTTPS sites either through IE or AOL. I
was able to perform a successful system restore, but this
did not solve the issue - oddly enough, the help>about
window in IE still said it was the xpsp2 version of IE.

Any ideas??
