I just decided to test how good xp sp2 icf is at grc.com's sheildsup site
and port 1027 is open by ms-svhost. how do I close/stealth it?

Svhost is a virus. I suggest you run a scan with current and updated
anti-virus software. This is why the post is open, the virus is probably
using it. It opens the port to allow hackers to control your computer.

The real process is called svchost.

my bad, that was a typo. yes it is the svchost holding it open, how do I
close it?

Take out the _CURSEING to reply to me

Stewardesses is the longest word that can be typed with only the left
hand, while lollipop is the longest with the right hand. (when following
the rules for typing).

By default the icf should stealth that port. I don't use the icf so I'm not
sure why it's not stealth. Maybe some program or process you have running is
keeping it open. With my router or zone alarm, that port is stealth on grc.
Maybe try finding out what program is using that port and close it down.

I found it, I was using mrouter for my bluetooth phone, I'll shut it down
while not using my mobile on the pc.

IP-TOOLS (http://www.ks-soft.net/ip-tools.eng/index.htm) is a good program!
