SP2 HANGS at SHUT DOWN & RESTART

I installed SP2. It was horrible nothing worked. I
uninstalled it. I upgraded drivers re-installed SP2. It
now works pretty well except... SP2 hangs at shut down or
restart. I believe it has something to do with SP2
because it started when I first loaded SP2. It stopped
when I uninstalled SP2 and it started again when I re-
installed it. Any suggestions?
