SP2 - fix for slow internet yet?

When I installed SP2 last month, it made my IE6 pause the page loading, then
blast the page up. It took about 2 seconds for each page to load, a
noticeable difference in speed. it was fairly consistent on my cable modem
with router, an AMD 1.4, 256 RAM. So i uninstalled SP2 with no problems
(that was my ONLY problem with the install, i had it for 3 days).

I know it's a fairly common problem people are having, but have there been
any workarounds with this yet?
 
is that verizon, which MSN is involved with, if not there may be no fix,,lol

it may be related to the fact that with SP@ your concurrent TCP/IP
connections are limited to 10

(this affects those people using P@P sharing programs a bit :> )

have another look on this topic ...there is a patch ( and yes i have used it
on a couple machines with no side effects)

this was done to limit the propagation speed of some virus's
