about a week ago i got hacked and as a result two hard drives now are full of
bad sectors. trying to setup on another hard drive from the mirror disks
that come with the computer, now, Windows XP Pro didnt want to install right
and usually crashed when i tried to install drivers from the second disk. I
ended up doing an overwrite from a backup disk, and got almost everything
working, but naturely, some things dont get moved using a backup program.
Now when i try to install the Service Pack 2 for XP pro, it gets almost thru
and complains that it cant read or write the database and terminates. Does
anyone understand what is happening and know a workaround? Thank you all.
