SP2 Crashes

Hey everybody! I've been trying to install Service Pack 2 for a couple days
now and every time it crashes and tries to report the error to Microsoft.
The actual error is as follows:
Windows Service Pack Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close.

When I click for more information, it indicates that there may be a problem
with setupapi.dll. Here are two print screens of the error:

Has anyone had any experience with this at all? Any help is appreciated...

It would be nice to see the technical detail information as
well.

Difficult one. Kaylene already pointed at some general advice,
like trying safe mode and doing a repair installation first.

If those wide arc workarounds don't help, then solutions may be
slow in coming.
