SP2 Boot problem

I have installed a clean copy of Windows XP on to my PC
(Gigabyte GA-8PENXP) onto Raid HDD (using floppy for Raid
drivers). When I upgrade to WinXP SP2 (without installing
any other software/drivers at all) it won't boot at all
(not even into Safe Mode).

During the initial installation it asks for confirmation
of two unsigned drivers (blank window - I assume this is
the Raid driver, and the AC97 audio driver). However,
these work fine with WinXP SP1.

Is it possible that these unsigned drivers are causing the
problem with SP2? Any other suggestions?
