Anyone know how to convince the security manager that norton antivirus is up to
date? I've tried several things, but it steadfastly refuses to accept that it
is up to date. no biggie.. but the red warning thing offends my sense of
perfection.. heh

To show NAV 2003 in Windows Security Center as up to date and scanning for
viruses (ON), download and install the Symantec WMI update. After
decompressing the files run SYMWMI40.MSI. This was posted in this newsgroup

I *think* this will also work for NAV 2002.

Norton AV version 2003 and earlier don't talk with the security center.
It doesn't seem that Symantec will release an update for any products
older than the 2004 flavors. Just turn off the alert for AV in the
security center.
