SP2 and IE6 in Win 2K

Since installing SP2, I cannot pull up any web page at all
in IE6. Just sits there dead. If I uninstall SP2, the
browser returns to normal. I've read through the "fixes
for SP1 and 2,i.e Win2K , and cannot find a reference for
this problem.

Has anyone out there had this problem? If so, what is the
fix?
This is a base install of Win 2k Pro. No other software
loaded on this drive as yet.

You might try reinstalling IE6. This KB article tells how:

When you mentioned SP2, if you meant W2K SP2 I would suggest installing W2K
SP4 instead.

Thanks for the reply. I have reinstalled IE6. I have also

installed Service Pack 4 for Win 2000 Pro. After doing so,
IE6 would not pull up web pages. It seems that I cannot
install the service packs and keep Internet Explorer 6
operating properly. After uninstalling the ser4vice packs
the browser pulled up web pages just fine. So, I have a
dilema, I guess. David J
