sp1a for hp pavillion

ms does not specify if this is now the version to use on
hp computers . does this work or not ? i would like to
install if it will help. update said a while back that
sp1 did not work on hp's.

The only difference between SP1 and SP1a is SP1a does not have
Microsoft Virtual Machine.
