SP1 in Emulator

I've read the FAQ about how to deploy SP1 to the Emulator
but that seems like a pain. Isn't there a way to make
VS.NET deploy SP1 instead of the original framework?

Anyone know a way?

Sure. Replace the RTM files in the Studio directory with the SP1 binaries.

Can you be more specific? Which files, which folders?

Do you mean copy
C:\Program Files\Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP1
\netcf.all.wce4.ARMV4.cab
to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
\CompactFrameworkSDK\v1.0.5000\Windows CE\wce400\armv4

Is that the right one for the emulator? Do I need to to
this for all the different processor types?

This information would be a great addition to the FAQ.

The directories look right. For the emulator you need only to do the x86
CABs
