have downloaded and installed sp2 on my computer, which previously was
running sp1. result: computer is very very slow . even when i am turning it
on, it takes like 5 min. need good advise desperatly

Have you cleanned your machine of spyware and viruses BEFORE installing SP2? Try also a defragment of your hard disk.

slow all the time? what process is using the cpu?

Hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete together.
What processes are using the most.
Clicking the CPU button can change the sorting so you can easily see what is
using the most.
