I installed SP 2 on both of my XP Home systems. The first
one upgraded and after re-starting recognized that I was
running Norton Internet Security 2004. At this point I had
the option of continuing to use NIS or use XP's firewall.
I choose NIS. After all was said and done, the security
center knows I am running NIS and the firewall and anti-
virus status displays show as being OK and specifiy that I
am running a Norton product. On my second PC, it didn't
recognize the fact that I was running NIS and never gave
me the option to specify using it instead of XP's
firewall, so the security center displays the firewall and
anti-virus status as requiring attention.
Is there some way to get the security center to re-scan
the system so that it will find the NIS software?
Thanks
