SP 2 CHANGED MY SOUNDS, HELP!

HI EVERYONE!

I’m hoping this is a quick question for you to answer.

Yesterday, I downloaded XP SP2 which is ok but all my sounds seen to have
been corrupted. Rather than the MS chimes and dings I now get a series of
“Buzzes, “Brrrs†and “Bleeps†at a variety of octaves.

I have a movie on my site which when played is visually ok but the sound is
one monotone “Brrrrrâ€.

What can I do to restore the sound. I have tried removing the SP2 but that
had no effect the sound remained so I restored back to as it was on Tuesday.

Start by rebooting and see if that resolves the issue. If not, try
reinstalling the drivers for the soundcard. Still no luck, go to the
soundcard manufacturer's website and check for the latest XP compatible
drivers.
