SourcePath

I wondered under what circumstances Vista uses the registry setting
SourcePath?

My copy of vista
a) Has a value for SourcePath of c:\enterprise\i386
b) Is able to 'Turn Windows features on or off' without any source files at
c:\enterprise\i386 and without a DVD in the D:\drive.

So my question is once installed, when does Vista read the value in
SourcePath?

Guy.

There is no source directory like there was in xp. Basically what happens
during a vista install the image file install.wim is expanded and it has most
of the files for the vista install inside of that.

Thank you.
Your reply takes me forward, and it fits in with my experience /
experiments.
