Source of Reminders

I installed Outlook 2007 on my Vista machine. I added two hotmail accounts
as mailboxes. I imported my Outlook 2003 pst from my other machine.

Every month I get reminders for a large number of tasks that seem to be
associated with messages. I click dismiss all and a couple minutes later I
get the same reminders. I click dismiss all over and over again and finally
(a half hour later) I can get into Outlook.

How do I get rid of these phantom reminderss?

See if starting Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch once helps.

I did that once. I can't say if that helped or not because in two to three
weeks I had reminders.

I found one of the emails and it was in the deleted folder for my personal
mailbox. I emptied that folder. I will see if that clears the problem. I
think the folder had hundreds of deleted email (at least 300, though I think
it was more).

Keep in mind also that you should NEVER import a PST.
