SoundMAX Digital Audio help

Sometimes my speakers suddenly lose sound. I can't hear any music, sound or
anything. The only way to fix this was to restart the computer. Then the
sound would work again. But I really want a better way to fix it so I can
continue my homework. Please help me!

Also, videos suddenly pause too when the sound goes out.

Using Windows XP on a laptop, occasionally after a blue screen or black
screen crash, the system reboots but has no sound and displays an error
message that the SoundMax drivers failed to load.

Simply rebooting the system again does not help, but removing the both
the power cord and the laptop battery, waiting ten seconds, and then
rebooting usually fixes the problem.

1) You have dodgy drivers installed a BSOD is generally related to that.

Make sure that ALL your drivers are up to date, including XP.

Uninstall your video card drivers and re-install. Do the same for your sound
drivers.

2) Turn off any power savings you use.

Run down the battery then charge it up.

3) Run your antivirus then Spybot.

4) If still the same problems after all the above run a MEM test for
yuour RAM.

Cheers,
Jerry
