soundmax 6 channel sound

I have a new computer with an P4 3G Intel 865G chip. 1 gig ram
Motherboard has Soundmax integrated sound, with jack sharing
I am only getting sound from the front two speakers. (as opposed to 5.1 sound
Are there different versions of soundmax? The drivers I have are version 5.12.1.357

Read the user manual to enusre the on-board sound chip support 5.1 channel and how to setup

Hello

Go into your contraol panel and look at your settings
that's where your problem is, check your settings

There should be a diagnostic tool with your driver suite. One of them
should be a jack sensing tool.
