Soundcards that hang up Windows XP Home

Hello

I have two soundcards in my new computer with Pentium 4, ASUS P4P800 Motherboard. The first is the motherboard soundtrack ,the SoundMax made by Analog Devices. The second is my professional soundcard for music, the Gina made from Echo

Both of them work but produce blue screens in a RANDOM way, meaning that they may play something correctly for many times and then give a blue screen equally many times.

This symptom was always true for Gina, but the ASUS motherboard soundcard worked with no problems for a month.

The problem is totally frustrating because it is impossible to play any games (no matter which company or title) as the computer always hungs OR returns to Windows even though the game starts at first and goes on for a few minutes

HELP!!

Andreas, if you are using the onboard sound device and a pci sound card
there maybe a conflict.
