soundcard probs

just formatted my gf's computer, everythings working except the sound card,
but its a sound card within the motherboard if you get me. Its from dell
too..... - explains the prob

anyway, they dont give you their drivers and i dont know what sound card it
is, anyone got any ideas what i can do?

Just call Dell. They will give you a link to download the correct driver (if
you can't find it on their web-site). I guess you still have that service
tag number thing?

strange....Dell are usually pretty good at providing drivers. I've done
a few Dells and always been able to track down the drivers from Dell's
website. Have you recorded ALL the numbers printed on the tower and
tried to use them? Would you like to post the numbers here and maybe
someone else can track them for you...
