soundcard and modem problem

i have recently installed a soundcard. 5.1 c-media
soundcard. everything was done and driver was
installed... the sound was ok.. but when i tried to
connect to the internet, the computer restarts... only
happens when i installed the soundcard... i tried to
place it on different pci slot... but it still happening..
my pc is 1.8G XP Pro with 256 MB ram...
please help me....

Hi,

First, disable the auto restart feature.
Right click My Computer/Properties/Advance, click the
Settings button in the Startup and Recovery area and
unckeck the box for "automatically restart", click Ok,
Apply and OK buttons and reboot.
You will receive an error messages instead of reboot.
Post back the error message to NG.
