Soundblaster and WIN XP help

T

Tom

Hi

I've had this problem for months, so I hope one of you can help me out here.

The problem is when I play music ( MP3's or whatever ), if there is
something 'moving' on the screen the sound goes all crackly and sometimes
slows up. For example, if I'm playing a song using the Windows Media player,
it's all 'crackly' and static, but as soon as I minimize the player, it
plays fine. The same goes for games, like Shockwave games, it crackles like
hell if the graphics are moving.
I think this is a conflict between Win XP Pro and my Graphics card. Here's
what they are :-

Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)

GeForce MX 100/200 64Mb Video card

Windows XP Pro

Thanks in advance for any help, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Hi Tom,

Is the VRAM dedicated or shared with system RAM. If it is shared memory, that is the problem, and I don't know of any cure for it.
