I am having problems with the sound to my computer. I
can hear the sounds when windows for come on. I can not
hear any of the sounds in yahoo messenger.

Get the latest version of Yahoo messenger, and do the audio settings. whe u open up yahoo messenger and log in by your email and password, see on the top of the messenger window the "Help" click it and go to "Audio Setup Wizard" to continue with your audio, if that don't work the find out that your microphone is connected right.
