I am running Windows XP Home Edition.
From what I have read I should be able to go to: Programs -
Accessories - Entertainment and find "Sound Recorder."
It is not there. Where would I find it?

Bob;
Try this: Double-click My Computer/click Add-Remove Programs/click
Add-Remove Windows Component/highlight Accessories and Utilities/click the
Details button/highlight Multimedia/click the Details button/Is Sound
Recorder checked? If not check it/OK your way out.
If Sound Recorder was checked from the above paragraph; try this: Do a
Search for: sndrec32.exe It should show up as C:\WINDOWS\system32 and
C:\Windows\system32\dll cache. If it does, right click and point to Send
To/Desktop (create shortcut).
Hope this helps. Let us know.
