"Sound" program missing from Control Panel

I had a control panel icon in my Windows XP that allowed me to use presets for my sound (speakers) that had an equalizer and such and preset sound types...(cave, water, concert hall...etc) It has dissapeared and I did not delete it. In the process, whenever I use Musicmatch Jukebox the sound is REALLY muffled and low...can hardly hear it even when it is turned all the way up...but any other sound program the sound is normal. Does anyone know where I can reload the sound program that was in my control panel but is now missing? Does anyone know what program may have moved it or deleted it? thanks.

check the speaker on toolbar
GOOD LUCK.......... mine keeps disappearing on each boot
or reboot!

That *.cpl module was added as part of the Device driver
install. You should go to your Sound card vendor's web
site and download the latest driver set and install.

About Musicmatch - Each player has it's own underlying
software that can and does interact with other player's. I
constantly work on computers that may have 3-6 different
players, all fighting to be the default. You use one and it sets
some multimedia variable (Level, Tone, DSP,etc). Then use
another and it will switch values again. What you do on your
computer is your business, but I would recommend picking
a single player for multimedia and not downloading/installing
others or maybe deleting all but your favorite.
