Sound problems

My laptop is ok for playing music, mp3, etc. but whenever
i launch any application, the music misses a beat and/or
become distorted for the duration of the application to
open. After the application has been launched, it is
fine. Anyone else have that problem? Thanks.

The other application is putting too much stress on the processor momentarily.
Open the Task Manager, and then click the performance tab. Repeat the processes
you have been using and watch the processor usage spike when you launch the
applications.

Tha is primarily caused by your soundcard using shared memory. Increasing your RA
will not solve this, but a better soundcard will.
