Where did my Sounds go?

Unfortunately you cannot change the underlying language in XP. You'll need
to purchase a copy of XP in Spanish and do a clean install. You can install
the Spanish version by itself or set it up as a dual boot with the English
version.

I have that exact same problem. I have a T5052 and the sound does not
work out of the back jacks. Try the front headphone jack. I get an
echoly sound from it. Emachines support told me to take it to bestbuy
and they would fix it for free. I have not done this yet though.
