sound problems in video playback

I installed a new graphics card (Ge forse 5500) on my computer and now the
sound on my video playback is cracking and full of static. My mp3s play
fine, the peoblem is video only. I updated drivers for both sound card and
graphics card with no results.

Open device mgr,expand the sound tree,R.click any of the sound hardware,
select,uninstall (do not restart computer),after all are uninstalled,shut off
computer,power off,move youre sound card to another PCI slot,restart comp.
XP will reinstall it...
