Sound Problem

After installing SP2, I lost most of the sound from the sound card. I need
to adjust the speaker vol. to max and then it's bearly load enough to hear.
For sound software I'm using Turtle Beach and have reinstalled the software,
looked for Mfg. updates and still no help. Anyone have some ideas?

This is so basic, but I must mention it, just in case, because you did not
state that you have done this - when you click on the little icon in your
tray (bottom right) to get your volume control, it might be up all of the
way, but if you double click that icon, you'll get a big sound window. In
there, besides the regular volume control, make sure the control for "wav'
is all of the way up too.

Of course different sound cards will give different controls in that big
window, but in this they should be similar.

You said you reinstalled the software, but did you uninstall/reinstall
the driver for the sound card? They are two different things.

There is sound but its just very low. Have gone to Creative got the latest
Audio driver, all the volumes are up in Audio properties.

Don't know what the issue is.
