sound played faster than usual

Windows media player and winamp both play my songs (mp3)
faster than usual.

i don't know how to play them in normal speed..
please help me

We had a similar problem with our Compaq machines when they were reinstalled
(from NT to 2000) It ended up being a driver issue. Luckily all we had to
do was "Update the driver" for the sound card using microsoft's driver
update (right click my computer-->hardware-->device manager-->properties on
your sound card and use the update driver. There's a good chance drivers
may not be there but it's worth a try. If they're not just go to your PC
manufactures website and download the relevant drivers
